Dele Ajayi has been re-elected as president of the Ondo State Soccer Affiliation.
Ajayi, in an election that passed off on the Ondo State Sports activities Advanced in Akure on Friday, defeated his closest rival, Akin Akinbobola.
He received after voting 14 votes, with Akinbobola dropping seven votes, whereas one vote was annulled out of a complete of twenty-two votes.
Henry Akingboju didn’t vote, regardless of being a competitor with the proper to vote.
Aderemi Adetula emerges as Vice-President of the affiliation with 18 votes in opposition to Umar Lanre Umar one vote with three votes annulled.
Ajayi stated after the election inaugurated a brand new daybreak in Ondo State soccer.
He stated he’ll work with all stakeholders to make sure that soccer progresses within the state.
Dele Ologbese had withdrawn from the race earlier than the trial started.
Ajayi, after being sworn in by Abisola Fadehan, a lawyer, congratulated his colleagues for having fought bravely within the elections.
“All of us have to come back collectively as a soccer household. We’re all winners. We are going to all advance the Ondo State.
“Different events have been calling since this morning throughout the nation. We are going to work with them and make sure that we advance soccer in Ondo State,” he later advised reporters.
Different members elected to the council are Tokunbo Akinyelure and Babatunde Akinbinu, from the central district who Ajayi to the council.
From the southern district Zion Ogunfeyinmi, Samuel Patani and Akindipe Akisola have been elected to the council.
From the northern district, Aborowa Gabriel and Muhammed Abiodun joined the vice-president of the council.
The Nigeria Information Company (NAN) studies that Ibrahim Gusau, a member of the Nigeria Soccer Federation (NFF), represented the federation on the occasion.
